Privacy
Leapdeck has no account to make and no server of ours for either app to talk to. Which Spaces you have, which apps are in them and what is on your screen stay on your Mac. This page says what that leaves, and who the few other companies involved are.
The Mac and iPhone apps
Neither app contains analytics, crash reporting or tracking of any kind, and neither sends your Spaces, your app names, your screen contents or your hotkeys anywhere. Your settings sit in your own macOS and iOS preferences.
When you pair an iPhone with a Mac, the two talk directly over your own local network. The pairing and everything sent across it stays between those devices; it does not pass through us.
If you buy Pro, your licence key is stored on the device so the app can keep working offline. The app contacts Polar only to activate or deactivate that key.
This website
This site counts page views with Umami, which we run ourselves on our own server. It sets no cookie, stores no IP address, and sends nothing to a third party. Nothing about you is stored in your browser.
The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps ordinary server logs of requests, including IP addresses, to serve the site and guard against abuse. Netlify's handling of that is covered by its own privacy notice.
If you buy Pro
Purchases on this site go through Polar, which is the merchant of record. Polar takes your payment details, your email address and whatever billing information tax law requires, and it is the data controller for that. We never see or hold your card details. What reaches us is the fact of a sale, the email address it was made with, and the licence key issued against it, so that we can support you.
Buying Pro inside the iPhone app instead goes through Apple, under Apple's terms and privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to hello@leapdeck.app and we will answer within 30 days. For purchase data, requests about payment and billing records are best sent to Polar, who hold them; write to us either way and we will point you the right way.
Children
Leapdeck is a tool for using a computer and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and the change takes effect from that date.
